Access for most schools is currently via “2013 School Library Subscriptions plus” class in MyClasses. This page has been configured to allow access for all students and staff. On the Resource Centre’s online catalogue, the Encyclopedia Britannica tab has links to your school's instance of the page on MyClasses http://ces.cmeweb.libcode.com.au The new site should go live in about 2 weeks. You can access the new site via the orange button at the top of the screen which says "GO TO PREVIEW" Site. If your school requires further assistance please contact Fran Hughes. Scootle Tablet App The Scootle app has been published to support teachers. The Scootle app for Apple and Android tablet devices is now available from Apple’s App Store and through Google Play. This app is currently only for tablet devices (e.g. iPad) not smartphones. Early years educators may be interested in four new case studies focusing on inclusion. Each of the following case studies includes audio visual segments and supporting resources: Cap that! Cap that! is a national campaign asking teachers to simply turn on captions on videos shown in class to boost learning and literacy for all students. National Literacy and Numeracy Week (NLNW) Highlight the importance of literacy and numeracy skills by celebrating NLNW 2013 from 29 July - 4 August. QSA NAPLAN 2013 NAPLAN 13 Newsletter (July 2013) provides information about the release of 2013 results – schools receive one printed report for each student for distribution to parent/caregivers. The distribution of reports is embargoed until the Minister announces the release of the data. What Genre will the NAPLAN Writing task be? In 2014, the genre of the prompt will not be disclosed prior to the test period. The Writing test will require students to respond to either a persuasive or narrative writing prompt. |
