Australian CurriculumACARA Senior Curriculum
The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) has released the draft senior secondary Australian Curriculum in 14 subjects for English, Mathematics, Science and History for public consultation until 20 July 2012. You are encouraged to provide feedback about the draft senior secondary Australian Curriculum by going to the Australian Curriculum consultation portal at http://consultation.australiancurriculum.edu.au. Revised Foundations for Success guidelines Foundations for Success – guidelines for an early learning program in Aboriginal and Torres Strait communities have been revised to align with the Early Years Learning Framework. Expression of Interest for schools wishing to engage with the draft Australian curriculum materials for Students with Disability The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) is developing draft Australian Curriculum materials for students with disability for consultation between 2 July and 28 September 2012. The draft materials will include extended general capability learning continua in Literacy and Numeracy, advice and teaching and learning examples. During the consultation period, ACARA seeks to have classroom teachers’ work more intensively with the draft Australian Curriculum materials for students with disability and to provide feedback. The Master of Education (Teacher Librarianship) is a specialist degree that prepares teachers for professional leadership as teacher librarians in primary and secondary schools. The scholarships offered are an initiative of Catholic Education Services to sponsor a further cohort of five teachers to complete this degree through an Australian Library and Information Association recognised course.
